Our Processes
Step 1: Sourcing Premium Cocoa Beans
We carefully select high-quality cocoa beans from trusted Ghanaian cocoa farms. Each harvest is inspected to ensure only the finest beans are chosen, preserving the rich flavor and nutritional benefits that make Hords Brown Gold unique.
Step 2: Processing and Refinement
The selected cocoa beans are cleaned, dried, roasted, and expertly processed using modern manufacturing standards. This careful process enhances the natural aroma, flavor, and quality of the cocoa while maintaining its wholesome goodness.
Step 3: Packaging and Delivery
Once processed, Hords Brown Gold is packaged under strict quality control measures to ensure freshness and consistency. The finished product is then distributed to customers, delivering the authentic taste of premium Ghanaian cocoa in every container.

Victor Opoku Minta
Non‑Executive Director
Victor brings on board 34 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry from a global
perspective with further expertise in Food production, Safety, Sales, Marketing & Business
Management. He is the General Manager of Coconut Grove Beach Resort, a position he has held since 2014. Victor is a Chef d Cuisine and holds a City & Guilds NVQ certification. He is certified by the Royal Society of Health, London, England, in Food Safety and Hygiene.
Sampson Ashong

Sampson Ashong is an Administrator, Estate Consultant and an Entrepreneur with over thirty
years experience. He worked at the Ghana Standards Board (Authority) and Standard Chartered Bank as Estate Manager and Administration Manager for over two decades. Sampson has attended a number of local and International Seminars/ Courses in Senior Management Training, Organisational and
Human Elements in Project Management/Advanced Project Management in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong
John Sterlin
Non‑Executive Director
John Sterlin is the Projects and Maintenance Manager at Coconut Grove Hotels, since 2008. He
has had a breath of professional experience in Ghana and the United Kingdom, including in the
marine fishing industry, data analysis, sales and marketing, and social services. He serves on the company boards of FreshPak Products, Bokodo Quarry, and Sterlin Security Services. John is a Catholic, involved in community development and politics within the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem (KEEA) district in the Central Region. He serves as the Chairman of the Central Region Basketball Association.
Harold Otabil
Non‑Executive Director
Harold Otabil is a researcher, industrialist, and entrepreneur. He attended Adisadel College then
the University of Ghana in 1977 to 1980 with a B.Sc. in Agriculture. Harold has attracted several national and international awards. He is the proud winner of the Ghana Star Award in 2007 for attractive packaging for its spray starch. In recognition of his track record of outstanding performance in enterprise he was also awarded the Kwame Nkrumah Excellence Award in Enterprise the same year. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious GPAAward for Creativity, Innovation, Dedication and Excellence. In 2012, Ghana Cocoa Board honoured him with an Excellence award for adding value to raw cocoa
Kwabina Nkum Akwa
Non‑Executive Director
Kobina Akwa is a Lead Consultant in ERPsystems implementation and a financial technologist.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM, Certified
in Risk, Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT
(CGEIT). Kobina also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Computer Systems Auditing (CSA).
He has over 30 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, ERP systems implementation and
Project Management. He lectures at various universities and institutions in information systems
audit and control as well as accounting systems and control.
